Following are the list of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks that enterprises could adopt. Majority of the enterpises have developed their own EA Frameworks, some of them based on one of the following frameworks. As Enterprises are starting to adopt SOA, there is a definite trend in the industry where both business and IT are starting to adopt one of these frameworks.
To transform the Federal Govenment to one that is citizen-centered, results-oriented, and market-based, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is developing the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), a business-based framework for government-wide improvement.

The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) is a framework - a detailed method and a set of supporting tools - for developing an enterprise architecture. It may be used freely by any organization wishing to develop an enterprise architecture for use within that organization. Starting from this sound foundation, the members of The Open Group Architecture Forum have developed successive versions of TOGAF each year and published each one on The Open Group public web site and the latest version is availbale here.
The SOA Working Group within The Open Group is currently working on SOA/TOGAF Practical Guide while shall be availbale here. The Open Group members could login to review the current working documents.
The Zachman Institute for Framework Advancement (ZIFA) is a network of information professionals who understand the critical role of Enterprise Architecture in the ability of the enterprise to successfully participate in the global economy of the 21st century. To this end, the mission of ZIFA is to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience in the use, implementation, and advancement of the Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture.
